A new piece this week as we enter exam season, about the benefits of exam related private tuition. If you're studying for an exam or tutoring someone who is, please share your comments with us below!

Ask anyone who is studying for an exam for the key to success and the majority will likely tell you the same thing: as with most things in life, there’s no one magic solution that works for everyone. Some people cram for exams at the last minute, others take their time to prepare months in advance. But if there is one strategy that almost everyone can agree on, it’s that personal tutors are an effective way to better your chances of achieving exam success. Whilst it’s certainly no silver bullet, personal tutors – such as those arranged at LCF Tutors – can be a hugely valuable tool when used correctly. Let’s take a look at exactly why this is.

Personal tutors can motivate, inspire and encourage

Whether you’re studying for your GCSEs, A-Levels or a citizenship test, there will likely be times when your motivation drops a little. At times like this, educational institutions are generally only able to provide a limited amount of 'extra' support due to the sheer weight of students they deal with. But personal tutors have no such limitations. In much the same way as the personal trainer you hired last summer managed to squeeze that extra 5 sit-ups out of you every session, many students who work with personal tutors report that their motivation is much higher, and that they feel supported throughout the learning process  due to the level of personal attention simply not available elsewhere.

Personal tutors are not restricted by curriculum

Of course the main aim of almost all personal tutors is to prepare a student to pass the exam, and this generally means rigidly sticking to the curriculum. However, there are occasions when knowledge of information outside of the core curriculum can enable greater understanding of those tenets. Personal tutors will never shrug off a question which is outside of the core topic, because there is an understanding that this information can enable learning and assimilation of information in ways that may not have been possible in a classroom environment. Moreover, private tutors are aware that the a one-to-one session is solely geared towards the student, so really no questions are off limits. - Tutors please feel free to share some of your more shall we say 'off-topic' questions below. I've certainly had some odd ones in my time!

Superior coverage of topics

In a group learning situation, every member of the class will have a different speed at which they can digest and understand information. We've all experienced this at some point during our school days. Teachers can do their best to keep the pace suitable for everyone, but there will inevitably be questions that hold up the class (not to mention the classroom joker who likes to steal the TV remote and switch Jeremy Kyle on when the teacher's back is turned!). Because lessons are time-limited, learners who do not need to ask questions will lose out, as they have to wait for the lesson to continue. With personal tutors, the learning is set at the perfect pace for the individual student. Tutors can cover more topics in the same space of time at the perfect pace and level for the pupil. This clearly affords students of personal tutors the chance to study and learn at a more efficient rate with little chance of Jeremy Kyle interrupting! It’s a win-win situation for students of all levels.

Personal tutors: the bottom line

Making the decision to invest in the services of a personal tutor may not be the cheapest option available to parents and students. However, it can be one of the most rewarding and cost-effective learning choices a person can make. There are clear benefits to this level of personal academic care and it’s no surprise that more people are turning to personal tutors for help every day. If you’re looking for a new, effective way to learn at the perfect pace for you, please visit LCF Tutors on the web at www.lcftutors.com or call them on +44 (0)1489 786473. 2. The new tuition schools that have a big number of students are more likely to grow in a differend way. Most importantly no one would like to see them like that. For better or worse. And the students who want to feel better about them self and higher education as a whole will manage that. Even the http://athenatuition.co.uk/ Schools and KD Prepare talked about that.
